Oliver Mayer
Founder and Managing Director of MAYER CONCEPTS
Mayer Concepts was founded by me, Oliver Mayer, in Zermatt in 2013. After completing my degree in business administration, working in management consulting and spending many years self-employed in Germany, a new chapter of my life brought me to Zermatt. There, I spent several years working as a manager for one of the Julen businesses.
My love for Zermatt and the mountains sparked my ideas. I recognized opportunities in some unused properties in town and began to capitalize on them. This led to the creation of the Zermatt Box, the first self-storage facility in Zermatt, which remains very popular to this day. The first pop-up hotel in Zermatt, which operated from 2017 to 2018, was also one of my projects, as were various management roles at several hotels.
We look forward to welcoming you!
I pursue my business ideas with energy, determination and a clear focus on the result, much like a mountaineer working towards the summit. Over time, my persistence, thoroughness and professionalism became well known throughout the village. Soon, I was supporting my first clients with my experience and helping them further develop their own holiday properties and projects.
My main focus has always been on the marketing and management of hotels, holiday apartments, apartments and chalets. These types of accommodation are especially close to my heart because I genuinely value working with people for people.
Over time, I became a trusted point of contact not only for property owners, but also for their guests. This led to the idea of bringing the properties I manage together under one shared platform: Inspiring Places Zermatt.
Today, this allows me to offer my guests a carefully selected range of beautiful holiday apartments, apartments and chalets in Zermatt.
The team behind INSPIRING PLACES ZERMATT consists of my wife and me, together with dedicated team members who take care of housekeeping and property services, our caretaker and his support team, as well as freelancers who assist us with various projects and services.
With our carefully selected holiday apartments and chalets in Zermatt, you can experience some of the most beautiful locations in the village, with fascinating views of the Matterhorn or direct access to the slopes.
